Earthquakes can strike at any time and anywhere across our diverse state, which underscores the importance of being prepared to protect oneself when the ground starts shaking. Registering your participation through ShakeOut.orgregister offers you a chance to practice enhancing your safety during earthquakes.

How to Participate:

  1. During Drill Activation: At exactly 10:19 AM, you'll receive a test alert from MyShake via smartphone.

  2. Practice Actions:

    • Drop down immediately when the alert arrives

    • Cover your head and neck with your arms

    • Stay in place until instructed to move by local authorities or the drill coordinator
