Read: 1709

Welcome to the Institute of Earthquake Forecasting IEF under the China Earthquake Administration CEA. Originating from the CEA Center for Analysis and Prediction, established in 1980, it is one of the five national institutions within the CEA. The IEF specializes in earthquake forecasting theories, methodologies, techniques, and application strategies based on a comprehensive suite of scientific disciplines including geology, geodesy, geochemistry, space electro-magnetism, remote sensing, and seismology.

The Institute conducts cutting-edge research to enhance our understanding and predictive capabilities for seismic activities. It leverage interdisciplinary knowledge to develop more accurate forecastingthat can d in disaster mitigation and preparedness. By integrating diverse data sources and utilizing advanced analytical tools, the IEF contributes significantly to national efforts towards earthquake risk reduction and public safety.

Committed to international collaboration, the Institute also engages with global partners in joint research projects med at strengthening our collective understanding of seismic hazards worldwide.

In addition to its core research activities, the IEF regularly organizes academic conferences and seminars that bring together experts from various fields to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and foster innovative solutions for earthquake forecasting.
