We are excited to announce in the largest earthquake drill ever, ShakeOut, on October 19, 2023! In an area where earthquakes can occur at any time and anywhere, it's crucial for everyone to be prepared. By participating in this event, you will improve your level of seismic safety.

This drill is open to individuals, families, businesses, schools, government agencies, and organizations across California and worldwide. You can choose to participate on October 19 or any other date throughout the year.

How to Participate in ShakeOut

• Make sure you have the MyShake App installed on your mobile device.

• Share this message with key partners and stakeholders!

During the Drill:

1. At 3:33 PM, October 19, 2023, MyShake will s a TEST alert to all app users. Practice DROP, COVER, and HOLD ON!

2. Identify potential hazards that could fall during an earthquake in your work or living space. Secure these items after the drill.
