When an earthquake strikes indoors:

Avoid glass windows, doors leading outside, walls supporting heavy loads, including ceiling fixtures or freestanding furniture that could potentially fall on you.

If lying in bed, protect your head with a pillow unless you're under an overhead fixture which might collapse - then move to an inside corner for safety.

Do not attempt to use an elevator; they are prone to malfunction during an earthquake and can trap you when electricity fls.
